Due to circumstances beyond the control of numerous individuals, shortages of food are occurring at an alarming rate, and have become a rampant condition, not just among the homeless, but among countless individuals who are unable to financially provide for themselves and their families due to the economic downturn called, (The Recession). This condition, is not only occurring in third world countries, but it is happening right at our doorsteps. Many individuals have been laid off from their jobs; others are suffering the effects of illness which have incapacitated them. Additionally, the economy (recession) has changed so radically that the amounts necessary to sustain normal life have risen to such unreachable proportions that many are simply not able to keep up the pace.
God has blessed AWIM in conjunction with The Greater Chicago Food Depository with the necessary means to provide good, fresh food to anyone, young or old, no matter what race. We love everybody and we are hear to help everyone that we can. If you know of anyone who is is need or perhaps someone who is not able to come out to receive food, let us know. Come fill out the form/proxy for them with the required information, and we will make sure to service that individual in a timely manner. At this present time, are Boundary Areas: Crestwood, Country Club Hills, Dolton, Harvey, Hazelcrest, Markham, Midlothian, Orland Hills, Posen, Robbins, and Tinley Park, more areas are soon to be added.
