The importance of Global Ministry was outlined in the scriptures by the Lord Jesus Himself in the Gospels of the New Testament. Thus, based on the Word of God, it is evident that the impetus for this ministry arises out of the very heart of God. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ spent so much of His time during His earthly ministry, conducting in-depth teachings with His disciples. Often times, He spoke to them in parables to reveal deep spiritual truths which He intended to be received and comprehend only by them. On other occasions, Jesus spoke directly out of His heart with very clear and concise language to let the disciples know exactly what was expected of them as members of the kingdom of heaven and of God.
One such discourse of this type is found in Matthew 25:34-40, which reads as follows: " Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was hungry, and you gave me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: 36 Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came unto me. 37 then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me."
Anointed Word International Ministries, Inc. (AWIM) is being used by God to deliver His word in Malawi, Africa, via radio broadcast. The Lord opened this Global Ministry door in March 2002 because it was His intention that the dynamic messages He reveals to our Pastor, Dr. Jacqueline E. Anderson, would be delivered internationally. The Holy Spirit worked through Senior Associate Minister, Rev. Cornelius Burney, and his lovely wife, Maxine, in a systematic process to pave the way for Anointed Word’s voice to be heard there in Malawi.
